Almost every family has jewellery that is loved but never worn: a grandmother’s ring that no longer fits anyone’s style, earrings that are too heavy for daily life, a single earring whose pair was lost. Remaking is how those pieces come back into use without losing what made them special.

What can be reused

  • Diamonds and gemstones. Stones are removed carefully, cleaned and checked, and can be set into a new design. Older diamonds sometimes have charming, softer cuts that look beautiful in a modern setting.
  • Gold. Old gold can be refined and used towards the new piece, or credited against it. We test its purity first so everyone knows exactly what it contains.
  • Details. A pattern, an engraving or a small element of the original can be carried into the new design so the story stays visible.

What to decide first

Decide what you want to keep and what you are happy to change. Some families want the stones exactly as they are; others are open to recutting a chipped stone or adding new diamonds around the old ones. There is no wrong answer, but knowing it up front shapes the whole design.

How the process works

  1. Send us clear photos of the piece, or bring it to a consultation in Gurugram.
  2. We examine the stones and test the gold, and tell you honestly what can be reused.
  3. We design the new piece around what you are keeping, and show you a rendered design before anything is changed.
  4. Only once you approve do we remove the stones and begin making.
Nothing is taken apart until you have seen and approved the new design. If you decide not to go ahead, your piece is returned exactly as it came.
