A few habits keep diamonds bright and settings secure for a lifetime. The rest, we do.
Looking after it at home
Soak in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap for ten minutes, brush gently behind the stones with a soft toothbrush, rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid bleach, chlorine and abrasive cleaners; take pieces off before swimming.
Store each piece separately, in its Aurya box or a soft pouch. Diamonds scratch other jewellery, and other jewellery scratches gold. Keep away from humidity and direct sunlight.
Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off first. Remove rings before gym work, gardening or anything that could knock a stone.
Once a month, hold the piece to your ear and tap it gently; a rattle means a loose stone. Stop wearing it and send it to us.
What we look after
Every piece is covered against manufacturing defects in the metal and the setting. Wear, accidental damage and loss are not covered, but we will always quote a repair.
One complimentary ring resize within the first year, within two sizes. Eternity bands set all the way round can be adjusted only within a narrow range; we will advise before you order.
Complimentary polish once a year. White gold is re-plated in rhodium at cost when it warms in tone, usually every 18 to 24 months.
Loose stones, worn prongs, broken clasps and chains are repaired in our own workshop. Send us a photo on WhatsApp for a quote and turnaround.
Bring or send your piece once a year. We check every setting under magnification, tighten what needs tightening, clean it and return it with a note of what was done.
